In a land as generous as Puglia, where the sun and the sea blend with history and tradition, Susumaniello is a grape variety that speaks of deep roots and surprising revivals. From an almost forgotten grape to a symbol of authenticity, today it finds new expression in modern, fresh and versatile versions.
And it is precisely from this vision that Dinò is born, our pure Susumaniello Rosé: a tribute to tradition, with an eye on the future.

The term “Susumaniello” comes from the local dialect and means “little donkey”: a reference to the plant’s extraordinary productivity in its early years, so abundant that it seemed loaded like a little donkey.
It is an indigenous Apulian grape variety, native to the Brindisi area, which for a long time remained in the shadows, used mainly in blends to add colour and structure.
Today, thanks to the dedication of passionate winemakers, Susumaniello is among the protagonists of the revival of Apulian wine, valued also in single-varietal vinifications as a red or a rosé.

Rosé according to Susumaniello
Susumaniello Rosé stands out for its skin rich in anthocyanins and an intriguing aromatic profile.
In the case of Dinò, vinification takes place through a soft pressing of the grapes. The resulting must is flotation-clarified and then fermented in steel at controlled temperature with the use of selected yeasts. Ageing continues for about six months in steel, to enhance the freshness and the typicity of the grape variety.
The result? A rosé with an intense pink colour with violet reflections, which wins you over with its aromatic intensity and structured palate. On the nose, fruity notes of cherry, strawberry and raspberry stand out, with slight spicy hints. On the palate it is fresh, savoury and well balanced, with a surprising versatility at the table.

Dinò: elegance and identity in a sip
With Dinò, Susumaniello Rosé, we wanted to give voice to an ancient grape variety, in a modern and refined guise. The name recalls our origins and the family dimension that ties us to the territory.
Dinò is a wine that speaks of summer, sea breeze, evenings among friends, but also of artisanal care: every step, from the vineyard to the bottle, is designed to express the best of Susumaniello rosé from indigenous Apulian grapes.
It is perfect for summer aperitifs, but also for accompanying light and flavourful dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, from seafood salads to vegetable-based first courses, all the way to more structured dishes such as grilled fish or spiced white meats.
Recommended serving temperature: 10–12°C.
A toast to authentic Puglia
Today Susumaniello is no longer just a rediscovered grape variety: it is a symbol of pride, identity and innovation. And we are happy to help write this new chapter, with a pure Apulian rosé just waiting to be discovered.
